As per tradition calls in other countries around the world, the beginning of Christmas is celebrated with a parade of lighted boats at their main bays. Club Náutico de San Juan, following this tradition, organized its first event in 2009. That first edition, with 19 participating boats, started what has become the most waited for event of the Xmas season in Puerto Rico. People from all over the island come to San Juan on the second Saturday of December to enjoy the creativity, lights, and Christmas spirit that each boat presents. The San Juan Xmas Boat Parade is a unique visual gift that all our participants give to our fellow Puerto Ricans.
